Certified Holistic Health Counselor
According to Ayurveda, most ailments originate from the imbalances of the digestive system and mind. Ayurveda teaches us how to make conscious nutritional choices that are best suited for our bodies and minds, and in harmony with our individual Prakruti, or constitution. Food, the seed of life force within all living things, nourishes the body, mind, and spirit, and is ultimately our best medicine.
This program is a comprehensive course on creating wellness. It covers the Four Pillars of Nutrition (Food, Exercise, Breathing, Sleep / Meditation), as well as healing through the five senses. This includes the aspects of Touch (self-massage), Smell (aromatherapy, blending essential oils for Ayurvedic products), Sight (color therapy, crystals, etc.), Sound (sound and mantra therapy), and Taste (preparing healthy Ayurvedic meals). All of these techniques rest upon the skill of ascertaining an individual’s unique constitution and thus are formulated to improve the quality of life for each person.
The schedule below is only applicable if the situation in New York has improved in regards to the pandemic and Ayurveda's World is able to host classes in-person. If this is not the case, we have adapted the course into an online program. Please find information and details regarding this alternative below.
Study Program August 2020 to April 2021 Schedule:
ONLINE STUDY PROGRAM AUGUST 2020 to APRIL 2021 (if applicable)
Due to the current pandemic, there is a possibility that we will not be able to host the course in-person as usual. If this is the case we have adapted the course into an online program, which will have the following structure:
The first five months of the course (August - December) will cover almost all of the theory. We will be hosting Zoom sessions three times a week starting Saturday, August 8th.
Saturdays 10am - 12pm (Lectures & Seminars)
Sundays 10am - 12pm (Lectures & Seminars)
Wednesdays 5:30pm - 6:30pm (Case Studies & Q&A)
"These classes will take place on weekends once a month on the dates..."
There will be occasional yoga and meditation instruction through Zoom on Saturdays and Sundays.
The last four months of the course (January - April) will cover all the practical training that we can hopefully do in-person by then. This covers topics such as cooking, pulse-reading, product-making, learning about spices & herbs, etc. These classes will be during weekends once a month on the dates detailed in the original schedule above.
"This covers all hands-on topics such as cooking..."
We hope that you will join us in August, either in-person or online!
